Beginning 4-6 year old’s gymnastics (Tuesdays 4:00-4:45pm)

45 min class taught weekly on Tuesdays from 4:00-4:45pm. This tumbling class is an entry level class focusing of safety and technique for young learners and includes level 1 and 2 skills. Skills taught will include but are not limited to:
- FLOOR: forward roll, backward roll, backward pike roll, round off, cartwheel, split jump, handstand, front limber, back walkover, back bend,
- LOW BEAM: straight jump, arabesque, lever, and handstand dismount, passe, battement, pivot turn
- LOW BAR: casts, pullover, back hip circle/s, dismounts as an under swing or a sole circle.
Gross motor skills can vary largely at this age and individualized attention will be given to progress, instruction to higher level skills will be given if student shows correct mastery and strength.
Ages 4-6
Dress code: please wear clothing that allows movement but is form fitting to the body (leotard and shorts recommended) no extra skirts or loose materials. If possible hair should be pulled back off the neck and out of the face.
