This entry-level class encourages dancers to build strength as they learn spatial awareness, patterns, and basic ballet techniques. Working with a barre will be introduced but most work will be done center floor.

Covered concepts include but are not limited to:

• Feet and arm positions in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, parallel 6th
• passes, grand jete, pique,
• pointing and flexing feet, plie, tendu,
• posture, balancing, and stretching
• walking and running on releve
• Echappe saute
• Bouree
• Balancing and more.

Schedule: 1 fee for 4 weekly classes each month

Dress Code: A black short sleeve leotard and pink tights are preferred with canvas or leather shoes that are form-fitting to the feet so the teacher can see how the student is working their muscles. No slipper-style shoes.  All colors of leotards are allowed but each child will need the above for the Dec recital so if you are purchasing dance attire please start with these.
